NRG Northwoods launched “The Game” on December 30th, 2020 on WOBT 101.3FM/1240AM to bring “Sports Talk That Rocks!” to Rhinelander and the Northwoods. The Game is a Wisconsin based sports network that originates out of Milwaukee on iHeartMedia’s WRNW/97.3FM.
“The opportunity to bring Wisconsin sports talk to the Northwoods was a no-brainer,” said Market Manager, Shane Sparks “The lack of locally focused sports talk in the Northwoods was a complaint I heard often. To fill that void and talk Packers, Brewers, Badger and Bucks everyday with the biggest names in Wisconsin sports talk is incredibly exciting.”
NRG Media Northwoods operates six radio stations including 97.3 Hodag Country – WHDG-FM, Rock 105.3 – WRLO-FM, 101.1 Jack FM – WRHN-FM, KOOL 95.9 – WMQA-FM, AM 1570 – WLKD-AM and The Game – WOBT AM/FM.
