We pride ourselves in being a facet of the Omaha community with events such as The College World Series, Cinco de Mayo and Toys for Tots. Our goal is to establish a connection with listeners and provide clients access to that audience.
NRG Media Omaha operates seven radio stations:
La Nueva Omaha – KMMQ–AM/FM has a traditional Regional -Mexican format starting each day with Jose Ramon and Rita who cover local community interest topics and guests important to the community. DJ Mickey and DJ JPEG take over during the Noon hour with live music mixes and special events. La Nueva also includes Don Cheto and Erazno network shows.
News Talk 1290 KOIL – KOIL-AM reaches an active, highly-informed listener, between 45-64 – both male and female. They are homeowners, often business owners or managers and are highly engaged with current issues. Because they are talk radio listeners, their listening is in the foreground, not the background listening of music station.
101.9 The Keg – Variety That Rocks – KOOO-FM is a classic hits station broadcasting at 100,000 reaching both Omaha and Lincoln. The Keg is famous for its annual Hairball concert and core artists like Aerosmith, Queen, Def Leppard, and Bon Jovi.
Power 106-9 – The Station That Sounds Like Omaha – KOPW-FM is a mainstream rhythm station with core artists like Drake, Post Malone, Rihanna, Cardi B, and The Weeknd. Power 106-9 is famous for its live mixshows, engaging personalities, and listener interaction.
1620 The Zone – KOZN-AM features live, local sports talk shows, covering sports important to Omaha and Nebraska – especially the University of Nebraska Cornhusker football team. The Zone is also the broadcast home for the Creighton University Bluejays basketball program in the Big East Conference and produces the College World Series each year.
1180 Zone 2 – KZOT-AM is a sister station to 1620 The Zone and is the home of University of Nebraska-Omaha sports, UNO Basketball, Kansas City Royals Baseball, Kansas City Chiefs Football, Creighton University Women’s Basketball and features programming from CBS and FOX Sports Radio.
Sweet 98-5 – Omaha’s Sweetest Variety – KQKQ-FM is a heritage hot adult contemporary station with core artists like Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, and P!nk. Broadcasting at 100,000 watts, Sweet 98-5 can be heard in both Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska.
