NRG Media Omaha is on your radio, phone, smart speaker, and social media feed. Our passion is sharing music, sports, and news at a local level. We pride ourselves in being a facet of the Omaha community with events such as The College World Series, Cinco de Mayo and Toys for Tots. Our goal is to establish a connection with listeners and provide clients access to that audience.

NRG Media Omaha operates seven radio stations:

La Nueva Omaha – KMMQ–AM/FM has a traditional Regional -Mexican format starting each day with Jose Ramon and Rita who cover local community interest topics and guests important to the community. DJ Mickey and DJ JPEG take over during the Noon hour with live music mixes and special events. La Nueva also includes Don Cheto and Erazno network shows.

News Talk 1290 KOIL – KOIL-AM reaches an active, highly-informed listener, between 45-64 – both male and female. They are homeowners, often business owners or managers and are highly engaged with current issues. Because they are talk radio listeners, their listening is in the foreground, not the background listening of music station.

101.9 The Keg – Variety That Rocks – KOOO-FM is a classic hits station broadcasting at 100,000 reaching both Omaha and Lincoln. The Keg is famous for its annual Hairball concert and core artists like Aerosmith, Queen, Def Leppard, and Bon Jovi.

Power 106-9 – The Station That Sounds Like Omaha – KOPW-FM is a mainstream rhythm station with core artists like Drake, Post Malone, Rihanna, Cardi B, and The Weeknd. Power 106-9 is famous for its live mixshows, engaging personalities, and listener interaction.

1620 The Zone – KOZN-AM features live, local sports talk shows, covering sports important to Omaha and Nebraska – especially the University of Nebraska Cornhusker football team. The Zone is also the broadcast home for the Creighton University Bluejays basketball program in the Big East Conference and produces the College World Series each year.

1180 Zone 2 – KZOT-AM is a sister station to 1620 The Zone and is the home of University of Nebraska-Omaha sports, UNO Basketball, Kansas City Royals Baseball, Kansas City Chiefs Football, Creighton University Women’s Basketball and features programming from CBS and FOX Sports Radio.

Sweet 98-5 – Omaha’s Sweetest Variety – KQKQ-FM is a heritage hot adult contemporary station with core artists like Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, and P!nk. Broadcasting at 100,000 watts, Sweet 98-5 can be heard in both Omaha and Lincoln, Nebraska.

La Nueva, the 50,000 watt voice of the Omaha Hispanic community broadcasts on both FM and AM, and programs traditional Regional-Mexican music beginning each day with Omaha’s longest-running local Spanish-language personality, Jose Ramon.

News Talk 1290 KOIL is Omaha’s legendary radio station, dating to 1925. 1290 KOIL is the Omaha home for important and influential talk programming from Brian Kilmeade, Chris Plante, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin.


KOOO-FM
101.9 The Keg has one of the largest signals in the Omaha market, playing classic hits from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s. Present at every rock concert in Omaha, The Keg is variety that rocks!


KOPW-FM
Power 106-9 Omaha’s newest powerhouse station with live jocks in almost every day part, live mixshows, and mainstream rhythmic hits that dominate streaming platforms such as Spotify and Amazon Music.


KOZN-AM
1620 The Zone is Omaha’s “Official Sports Radio Station.” Live and local sports talk all day ranked in the top 25 National Rankings by Barrett Sports Media. 1620 The Zone is home to Creighton University Bluejays basketball and produces the NCAA College World Series.


KQKQ-FM
Sweet 98-5 is a hot adult contemporary station (Hot AC) that has Omaha’s newest local morning show, Sweet 98-5 Mornings with Nikki and Matt. Sweet is a heritage station that Omaha listeners have grown up on since 1980.


KZOT-AM
